Welcome to Cavalcadia! A night of images, sounds, and words all coming together in various and exchangeable forms then dipping their hands in warm stew and rubbing them on each others thighs at Papa B Studios. Cavalcadia resides principally in the abdomen and the fingertips. It is advisable to honor its arrival by having a couple glasses of wine, inventing a dance, eating the leaves of an unknown plant, and contemplating the fabric of love.

TRAIN CAR PROJECT

For almost two years now PROCESS has been organizing a massive group show, called the Train Car Project, which features 60 arists from around the world, ranging in all different styles. For the project, each artist was supplied with a train car illustration (shown below), in the medium of their choice; either as a 3-color screenprint or a digital vector file. Once recieved, the artists had complete creative control to do what they wanted with the train.
Now, for the first time, the project will be on display in it’s entirety at PAPA B STUDIOS, in Brooklyn, NY from October 10th-22nd . The exhibition will feature all iterations of the Train Car Project, accompanied by an opening reception (October 10th), which will feature an installation of the train car for live painting by NOSE, & GUSTO.

It's no secret that PAPA B STUDIOS knows when an event is gonna be awesome. So after you've recovered from our show Friday the 19th, Israel and Ionescu's "PERMANENTLY TRANSIENT" be sure to get outta the house for this one, THE UNCOMUN FESTIVAL 08. It's a multi-genre showcase of talented artists working across New York City in various disciplines—musicians, dancers, DJs, video artists, painters and poets. The festival will feature performers from previous Uncomun events plus members of the city’s creative vanguard who will perform for the first time with the Uncomun family, including Garrison Hawk, Loud Apt and Maya Azucena with founding member of P-Funk, Bernie Worrell, among many others.

Presented by Areytos, Uncomun Records, Still Music, and Jose Miguel Ortiz.
